Use of Reversal Technique in Literature

Presentation The Nineteenth Century delivered one of the best short story authors ever. Key among these scholars was Anton Pavlovich Chekhov and O’Henry whose dominance of the short story has kept on intriguing many even in the cutting edge society. In spite of the fact that these scholars hailed from better places, their accounts followed nearly a similar style of writing.Advertising We will compose a custom article test on Use of Reversal Technique in Literature explicitly for you for just $16.05 $11/page Learn More on utilizing basic and direct titles for their accounts, these two essayists had a method of changing the tone and desire for both the perusers and the characters while in their story. Chekhov’s Fat and Thin and O’Henry’s After Twenty Years are exemplary instances of short stories where the creators have expertly utilized the utilization of the inversion method. This exposition looks into the utilization of this procedure by the two journalis ts and analyzes how it influences the completion of the story. Fat and Thin is an account of two old colleagues who out of the blue meet at a railroad station. The two, one slight and the other fat used to be old buddies while in secondary school. The author reveals to us that the hefty man possessed a scent like sherry and fleur d’orange, which was a sort of costly fragrance. Then again, the slight man resembled ham and espresso beans, which could have been named as the regular nourishment for common residents. After gathering, the two companions kiss each other exhibiting how they had missed one another. Following this, the slender man starts gloating about the various accomplishments that he has achieved over an incredible span. He starts by telling the fat companion that he is still â€Å"as attractive as I used to be! Similarly as extraordinary a sweetheart and a dandy!† (Chekhov) He at that point proceeds to tell his companion that he wedded an individual from th e Lutheran Persuasion, which implies he has hitched well as indicated by the Russian guidelines of that time. As though to attest his gaudiness, the meager man reminds the fat one how they had nicknamed him Herostratus after the crazy person who had consumed the Temple of Artemis in 356 B.C. With no provoking, the slender man tells the peruser and the husky man that he has now been elevated to the eighth grade, which is a major accomplishment as indicated by him. In his own evaluation, he gauges the husky man to have arrived at the degree of a common councilor, which is a lesser position. After discovering that the chubby man is currently a privy councilor, the slight man â€Å"turns pale and unbending all at once.† This is to show that he had not anticipated that the chunky man should go that high. At the same time, he takes a gander at the husky man in veneration and even needs to reintroduce his family. In a range of a couple of moments, everything changes and even the sli ght man’s spouse appears to have grown a â€Å"longer chin† in his eyes. (Chekhov) This method is utilized in O’Henry’s story where two old companions are meeting following twenty years of being separated. In the story, the essayist discloses to us that one of the companions, Bob, had gone West for search of a superior life while Jimmy picked to stay in New York. For what it's worth, Bob has ventured out a huge number of miles to guarantee that he respects a date that was set twenty years before.Advertising Looking for article on writing dialects? Without allowing him a subsequent look, he tells the cop that he is simply hanging tight for an old companion. Obscure to him, the companion that he has been sitting tight for is a similar cop that he is conversing with. Much the same as the daint y man in Chekhov’s story, Bob starts to gab on how he had gone West looking for a superior life and how Jimmy couldn't leave New York since â€Å"he thought it was the main spot on earth.† As the discussion between the two goes on, it rises that the two couldn't keep up correspondence since the man from the West was occupied with hustling around and had no opportunity to answer to his friend’s correspondence. At the point when he is inquired as to whether he has done well in the West, the holding up man answers in the agreed and rapidly includes, â€Å"I trust Jimmy has done half too. He was a sort of plodder.† (Porter)This is evident abusing and Jimmy doesn't trifle with it. At this point, the cop has perceived the substance of his old companion as that of the man being looked for by the specialists and his negligence of their fellowship causes him to choose to hand him over. Not at all like the chunky man in Chekhov’s story who is untroubled by t he slender man’s gloating, Jimmy doesn't care for his companions conceit and this may be another motivation behind why he chooses to get him captured. (Doorman) In Chekhov’s story, the chunky man is eager to take in the slight mans’ boasting yet not his sycophancy. The author discloses to us that the chunky man was sickened by the â€Å"reverence, sweetness, and tasteless respectfulness† of the meager man. This makes the chubby man to make an early exit to get away from the show. Something very similar happens when Jimmy gets burnt out on tuning in to his friend’s joke of him. In the two stories, there is a difference in tone that provides an alternate guidance to the story. This happens when the meager man sees that his companion has been fruitful more than him and when Bob goes to the acknowledgment that the Patrolman he had been conversing with before was really his old companion Jimmy. (Watchman) In the two stories, it is apparent that the infl uenced men were wishing that they had said less whenever they had the chance to talk. In Chekhov’s story, the flimsy man and his family are overpowered after understanding that the man that they were disparaging is really a senior man in the common help. Something very similar happens when Bob understands that he had unwittingly addressed his old companion. At the point when Bob is given the letter from his companion, his hand is consistent however â€Å"trembles a little when he has finished.† (Porter) This unmistakably shows the concerned men wished they had stayed silent whenever they had the chance yet now it is difficult to do as such and they need to live with the results. In the two occurrences, the acknowledgment of reality parts of the bargains leaves the crowd think about what the result could have been had the circumstance not have been switched. (Chekhov)Advertising We will compose a custom exposition test on Use of Reversal Technique in Literature explicit ly for you for just $16.05 $11/page Learn More Conclusion In the short stories, Fat and Thin and After Twenty Years, Chekhov and O’Brien utilize the inversion strategy to change the tone of the characters and to provide another guidance to their accounts. In the two stories, a few characters are occupied with plotting their examples of overcoming adversity however they are compelled to unexpectedly chop down their discourse after discovering that the other individual is more impressive than they are or is in a position of more impact. This makes them wish that they had stayed silent whenever they gotten an opportunity to do as such yet at this point, they as of now have said a lot to take it back or essentially they are not allowed to do as such. I also need to find out each factors has at which level to separate them. Here come to the primary question. Why I choose this subject area? It is not only because of this subject area is interesting but also because of this subject area is most important for me as a student who studying banking and finance. If the usage of online banking payments are increasing, that means that factors are also in the successful way and being increasingly. Bankers should try to make more factors to have the perfect match for that bank to maintain customers loyalty and satisfact ion of using online banking payments. The main cooperative strategic of doing a business is to capture customers, we must first capture his or her heart. So that, we must know the need of customers and help them to achieve. Banker should develop the factors and probe them to customers the benefits of online banking payments. 1.1.5 How would I conduct online banking Here I conduct this study by using primary data which is survey method. I distribute those questionnaires to 200 users who have use online banking payments at now or once to help me to complete this study. Inside the questionnaire, all items are evaluated by respondents on a five point likert scale such as strongly disagree, disagree, neutral, agree and strongly agree. In addition, the result will come out from using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). There are five variables in factors which are trust and security, convenience and flexibility, transaction related benefits, real time information and monthly summary. Each variable has their meaning and has different influence on online banking payments. What method is each variable influence online banking payments? Before study this, I have to know meaning of each variable and separate among them to make this study more easily and clearly. 1.2 Problem Statement Online banking has seen rapid adoption. But why cause online banking is adopted? Is the social environment problem? Recently we can know some news about robbery cases in Malaysia. The robbers always aim the customers who just withdraw cash from banks and will follow them until they get the chance to rob them. The customers not only will lost their cash, they maybe also hurt by robbers. To avoid these types of cases, government encourage customers not withdraw so much cash from bank, and suggest them to use online banking systems or cheques is better. 1.3 Research Question What are the most factor affecting customers to choose online banking payments 1.4 Research Objective 1.4.1 Main Objective The study mainly aimed to determine factors influencing MMU undergraduate students in adopting the online banking payment. 1.4.2 Specific Objective In specific, the study aim : to find out the relationship between all of these independent variables and online banking payments. to determine the difference in using online banking payments based on demographic variables such as gender, age, nationality, ethnicity, and education level whether the respondent is user or non-user. to provide more information to bankers in creating more organized and user-friendly online banking payments features in Malaysia. 1.5 Significance of study 1.5.1 Significance definition Researcher should expressly justify the significance of study to make the study useful and bring benefits to others. In the other words, significance of the study is the segment where the researchers impart others how they could use it and how their study would be available to clear people or segments of the society. In the market, mostly companies have the same purpose which are can make a lot of earning and benefits during operating their business. Other than expand their business, they also need to minimize their cost and maximize their opportunity. 1.5.2 Significance of online banking payment At the beginning, researcher must know that actually not all the users are satisfied to online banking payment. Due to some cases such like there will auto detract funds from their bank account but they did not do so, they will still less and lack of trustfulness in adopting online banking to make any transaction and payment. So that, through this research can find more the reason why users not satisfied and less satisfied to online banking payment. That become a necessary to bank institutions to improve all of these problems. Based on research, management can organize a good strategic and decision. Banks know need to provide what kind of products and services to customers. For an example, bankers know what are the most factor can affect customers in adopting the online banking payments. So they will improve this area of strategic to achieve customers anticipate such as when customer use online to pay any loan or others, they will be rebated 0.5% to encourage them continues usin g this service. They can also can find more independent variable based on research. In sum up, research make the bank institutions are able to choose the most efficient, profitable and productive of decision. 1.6 Scope of study Due to this study is about bank, so that I am targeting on the customers of local banks in Malaysia. In this research, I narrowed down my focus on three banks, which are CIMB, Public bank and Maybank. My specific respondents will be students from Multimedia University Melaka Campus (MMU) of any year level and course because all students can use online banking to make payments. The limitation of this research is the respondents are not outside of the campus means they must be MMU students. In other words, only those undergraduate students are allowed to participate in the research. This is based my study more focus and clear in this stage. Actually I narrowed down to these three banks is because these banks have more famous and complete system on online banking payments. On top of that, universities are great environment for students to commence entrepreneurship. Thus, it is not unusual for some students to start doing their business during their studies in universities. They sel l some products at their website and the customers also use online banking payments to purchase them. This method help sellers and buyers save more time and bring many convenience to them because they not need go to bank to make or check payments. 1.7 Operational Definition 1.7.1 Online Banking Online banking or is called internet banking empower customers to transact financial institution on a very security website operated by their specific banker from their accounts. 1.7.2 Trust and Security In Supriya Singh and Claudia Slegers study in 1997, they stated that trust actually very hardness to explain due to it is spread all over and nebulous. Besides, I will provide the online banking payments research in Malaysia and prior research on the dimensions of each independent variable which are trust and security, convenience and flexibility, transaction related benefits, real time information and monthly summary. In this chapter four illuminates respondents profile, mean analysis of the variable, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis. Chapter Five is the last chapter which will be narrated the discussion and conclusion for the research. Furthermore, it will cover contribution to research, contribution to practice, limitation of study and suggestion for future research. Chapter Two Literature Review 2.1 Introduction Online banking is a transaction of funds and money from one account to another account without limit at places and time through using internet. Home banking can be defined that via the computer and telephone connecting to any bank institution at home. Phone banking is the use of mobile phone which can connect to banker through internet. In sum, there still have many type of banking system in the global which have their main objective and purpose during adopting them. According to Heinonen (2006), the customers of banks nowadays service themselves by using ATMs, internet or mobile phone. That is technological interfaces that give a chance to consumers manufacture a straight forward services to employees with these type of self-service technologic. So that in his study, he mentioned that the important actions the banks should do is how to increase their service. But he signaled that not means is a needs to increase services. He suggested bank sectors can concentrate on improve the ir service quality which the customers really needs and is more efficient than studying service value. Luckily, the expansion of using online banking payment in recently is a good approvement. For one example is there is a linkage between bank sectors and customers to develop their relationship remotely by managing of online banking payment methods. This bring a lot of expedience to financial institutions to link customers details and can help credit management department when examine a customer has the ability to pay the repayment loan or not. As Herzberg (2003) pointed out not only computer just can use online banking, but also mobile devices is become a new uptrend of using online banking. Nowadays, many businessman owns the mobile devices with high technological such as PDA phones, IPAD to connect internet anywhere and anytime. He compared these devices with computer, these devices is more availability for developing payment and transaction of fund. So that from this, I can conclude that process of online banking payment will done by electronic, is called electronic banking. Electronic banking can be defined the use of the technologic which can connect to internet to get back or process any banking data, details of transaction and others directly from link from any financial institutions website. 2.2 Trust and security Why so many customers adopting online banking payment? One of the factors is trust and security. Online banking payment cause them feel is a safety payment. When they want to start to use this service must apply from bank then get a code. After that they login to their personal account, they change the pin or password to login. This means that when the customer want to make payment or check any detail through online, he/she need to type this password just can successful login. When customer want to transfer fund to other customer account, the online banking system will also double confirm to user. So that, customers are very trust this online banking payment system and is very security. As the point of Singhal and Padhmanabhan (2008), there is a survey mentioned security is the most important factors adopting online banking payment rated by member institutions. To save against fraud and customers privacy, there is a dual demand (Mishra). According to Sarel and Marmorstein (20 06), they found that to increase number of bank customers, bank not only must provide a good service, but security is also play a main role to meet the target numbers. For an example is they said that there is a survey (Gartner, 2004) stated that US online banking has a fail due to lack of security provided by their country bank industries. In this study, they also found that UK also frustrated offered security to their customers and cause a lot of social environment problems in year 2005 such as account hijacking and fraud of online business and other abnormal actions. Besides, another is trust by customers is important to bank to expansion their banks reputation and help the online banking growth. So how must banker to achieve it? Bank should study and survey how to achieve consumer needs and perception management. Based on the research by Singh and Slegers (1997), they mentioned that has a previous study which is lack of space and time can relate trust. Continuing visible of a ctivities is the reason why not need to trust someone anyway and the produce will clarity and trust the online banking system whose tasking were understood and known. According to Aladwani (2001), customers trust and security has the power to attract and improve the future online banking usage and cause the environment become an online ethos and will also the enhance of usage of online technologic products just like the new products Ipad, Web book, Iphone and so on. In his study has also concern about the percentage frauds of online banking has been affected to advance due to the expansion of usage online banking in the online environment is increasing. Trust and security can become a tool to banker which can make customers have more expectation to banker and surely will increase an improve the relationship between them also. 2.3 Convenience and flexibility In addition, convenience and flexibility is another reason which influencing users in adopting online banking payment. The customers through online can transfer payment and check any detail about their account. In some rural places, it may difficult to people to find or go the bank to process their payment. Besides, it will cost them to go far to bank in or withdraw money to presence to bank themselves because it is very waste their time. And maybe the bank at rural place does not has enough employees or services provide to customers. Customers will also distrust about the system between this rural bank and town bank. All of these will affect the number of customers. How to avoid this problem? Bank institution can try to organize more service provide to customers to use online banking system. For now the services have online payments, transfer funds to other customers, checking account details and so on. I suggest that banker also can let customers to bank in fixed deposits by t hemselves and auto print out and update the certificate of fixed deposit. All these type of service not only give convenience to banker, but also the customers have the flexibility. Online banking allow customers to transfer fund between account and credit cards also. On the other words, online banking just like having a flow ATM machine anywhere and also have a new-up-to-date flow bank statement also. According to Herzberg (2003), he pointed out a user of devices can increase and improve convenience. He mentioned that a customer can use a single device to do a lot of actions such as payment, transfer fund, investment, retail payment and nowadays also can be monitor to connect to CCTV at home. According to Singhal and Padhmanabhan (2008), they stated that online banking bring convenience to financial institution. In this study include that customers flexibility and convenience is provided more than the traditional bank services at a lower cost by adopting online banking paymen t (Williamson, 2006). Williamson also has stated that online banking help users easy to use and at a convenience and fastest way to manage their money. Besides, helping customers have better financial management and different type of patterns withdraw of cash and manage of everyday earning and expenses (Beer, 2006). Primary factor of adopting online banking payment that is saving time can be found in Arnett and Liu study. That is why many customers prefer to use online banking payment because the time factor (Beer, 2006). Otherwise, bank can put the spot news or information on their website to let users to know. Users not need direct go the bank to check any promotions and can up-to-date check the interest rates or currency exchange rate through online. So that, this will save the time of users and will less the time of bankers employees (Srivastara, 2006). According to Singhal and Padhmanabhan (2008), they found that the framework perception is the transfer fund is faster. The users just need to login their account and type in the account number which will receive the fund. After the system checking all the details are correct then the transaction is successful. So that, the benefits of online banking is the distract money and information anytime at anywhere just need to use an online device to process it. Furthermore, online business is also become rapidly increase because there is a significant between convenience. Users through online found any information about that products which they may willing to buy. After they done a lot of survey between all the sellers who provide better products or prices, then will contact to them. The seller just need to give consumer the account number and the buyers also just online transfer fund to them. The Stranger By Albert Camus - 1358 Words

In Albert Camus’ The Stranger, main characters Raymond Sinters and Meursault possess vastly different personalities and mindsets: one is indifferent to just about everyone and everything while the other is full of intense emotions. Despite being totally opposite mentally and emotionally, both Raymond and Meursault are guilty of committing heinous crimes. In this essay, I will argue that Meursault’s inability to feel significant emotion unless a situation directly and significantly affects him coupled with his lack of concern over the consequences of his actions make him more likely to harm others than Raymond, who actually experiences emotion in response to circumstance that do not necessarily affect him along with concern over his†¦show more content†¦Thus, how can he experience regret in response to harming others? The inability to feel regret over how he treats others means there is nothing stopping Meursault from going around harming others time and time ag ain. Therefore, Meursault’s inability to feel emotion in response to external situations makes him a highly dangerous individual. Meursault’s lack of emotion in response to the condition of others prevents him from feeling any concern over anything, particularly over how his actions and the actions of others might affect others, make him a dangerous individual. Early on, Raymond asks Meursault if he could do him a favor as a part of his plan to â€Å"punish† his girlfriend, and Meursault readily agrees without even considering how his actions might affect those involved in the plan (32). Meursault does not care how his actions might affect others since he will not be affected. Meursault’s lack of concern over the consequences of his actions make him a dangerous individual as he does not if his actions are harmful to others or not. Furthermore, this instance shows how easily others, such as Raymond, can control Meursault into doing what they want. Not only is that, the chief responsibility of the auditors to examine the financial accounting of the business and locate the material misstatement and to check for the compliances. Therefore it can be said that for the cases of tax refund, it would surely be a no n-audit service. Because of this according to APES 110 Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants, Section 130, the act of the accountants of Berowra has breached the principle of Professional Competence and Due Care (Han Fan, Woodbine and Cheng 2013). As per this act, the auditors can retain their clients by knowing the limitations of their professions and in this particular case study the accountants of Berowra failed to do so. According to the provided case study, Jamie Harvey, the auditor of a charter accounting organization is been asked to take up the responsibility of the treasurer in a nearby club and Harvey only performs audit of bigger public organizations. In this regard, it must be mentioned that in most cases the athletic clubs are considered as non-profit organizations. According to the APES 110 Professional Appointment, Section 210, when the auditors accept the appointments of a new client, the auditors should examine whether the appointment will influence the compliance of the fundamental principles of auditing. In this particular case study, when the proposal of getting the post of a treasurer gets accepted by the auditor, there was no breach of principles because of some valid reasons (Ottaway 2014). These reasons are that as Harvey holds the post of an auditor in public concern and there are no similarity between the operation styles of the athletic club and the business organization where Harvey is employed. Another major reason is that no fundamental ethical principle will get influenced because in case of the appointment in the organizations that is non-profitable (Kuan 2014). According to the provided case study, a situation is mentioned where the sum payable to the auditor is dependent on the opinion of the outcome of the audit which is appropriate to the audit client Monlec Ltd. It thus discloses that the management of Monlec Ltd is requesting for a audit report that would be favorable for their organization. In this context, it would be necessary to mention that the auditors represent the stakeholders and the investors; and not the business organizations. According to APES 110 Principle of Objectivity, Section 120, the auditors must not show their business and professional judgment for any types of influence, biasness and any types of conflict of interest (Athanasiou 2014). It shows that the judgment made by the auditors should not be influenced by any sort of biasness. According to the case study, the report of the audit provided by the auditor is somewhat favorable for the Monlec Ltd and there is a act of committing a breach of principles of auditing . There should not be any types of infringement of the ethical principles regarding auditing when the auditors provide an opinion that is not biased (Trung 2015). According to the case study, it is seen that Winton Accountants has showen all the reports and papers of Motoring Services to the Chadwick Chartered Accountants. Chadwick Chartered Accountants have the task of reviewing the quality of the audit performed by Winton Accountants. This shows that Chadwick Chartered Accountants have to perform various tests and processes to check the quality of auditing by the Winston Accountants. According to APES 110 Principles of Confidentiality, Section 140, the auditors have the obligations to maintain the confidentiality if the attained information related to the auditing clients. It explains that the auditors should not reveal the gathered information of the audit clients to any third party. According to the case study, the Winton accountants have revealed all the information and vital data related to the Motoring services to Chadwick Chartered Accountants by giving them all the documents of audits (Carey, Monroe and Shailer 2014). Hence, it can be said that Winton Accountants have broken the principles of the trade regarding the auditing with their stipulated actions. According to the provided situation, it is seen that Thornleigh Accountants have replaced Leona Ng with Jane Davis to finish the audit work of Jenkins Ltd due to illness of Leona. The provided situation is that the Thornleigh Accountants management wants to take in Jane Davis in the Audit team to perform the audit works of Jenkins Ltd from the mid weeks of July. This situation increases the fear of interdependence of audit for Thornleigh Accountants. According to APES 110, Self-review Threat, Section 100.12, no member of an audit team can have the right to use the results of an audit work performed by any other member of the same team of audit. Not only that, the act also describes that results of a previous work of audit done by a member of the audit team; cannot be used by any other member of the same audit team. The same rule is applicable to the Thornleigh Accountants as the business organization is planning to utilize the judgment of the performed audit by Jane Davis who has the knowledge of the accounts of the organization (DeFond and Zhang 2014). As per the provided case study it is seen that John Darrow is responsible for performing the audit works of Winmale Ltd. Winmale Ltd has given all the necessary documents and computer files related to the companys net valuation at that time. In this process the person who performs the audit work has to have all the necessary documents regarding the companys assets to accurately perform the task. In this situation, the auditor should not use the documents provided by the client and in this case the client company has provided all the documents. In this situation the auditor might feel pressurized by this act of the management of the Winmale Ltd as they might have provided the documents to get a judgment in their favor. Thus, in this context it can be said that according to APES 110, Section 200.8, this condition might generate Intimidation Threat of the auditors independence (Ojo 2013). According to the provided case study, it is seen that the Chocolate company has requested the auditors to visit the second chocolate show and also requested them to visit the social club of the firm. It requiredto be stated that the auditors must not comprise any sort of entertaining activities with the audit clients. As per APES 110, Self-interest Threat, Section 100.12, there might be a threat to independence of the auditor in case any kind of financial or non-financial concern of the auditors influence the audit opinion (Deumes et al. 2012). According to the case, it can be perceived that the chocolate company might be intending to influence the auditors by tempting them to the entertaining activities with a motive to get favorable audit opinion. Thus, in case, if the auditors accept the invitation of the business organization to attend the social club, they would produce the self-interest threat to the auditors independence. The key concern of the auditors is to scrutinize the financial statements of the business organizations in order to confirm that all the financial statements of the firms are free from any type of material misstatements and they have been arranged by obeying all obligatory regulations. Apart from that, the auditors do not have the accountability to comment on the client organizations financial position if there is no kind of fraudulent activities. In case of Connor Company, it is seen that the organization is severely reliant on the bank overdraft in order to pay off their loans, as they does not have any other option left in this regard. Not only that, the bank requests reimbursement within one months time. It displays that the weak economic condition of Connor Company. Nonetheless, this facet has not formed any consequence on the materiality. The auditor has not come across any type of material misstatement in any financial statements of Connor Company. It suggests that the Connor Company has not influenced their financial statements in order to hide their weak debt-paying circumstance. Therefore, the auditor shall issue Unqualified Audit Opinion for Connor Company (Tsipouridou and Spathis 2014). It should be the responsibility of the firms to arrange and present their financial statements regarding the standards of generally accepted accounting principles. Apart from that the, companies needs to fulfill the accounting protocols of the nation in which they are working. In the situation provided, it is seen that the concern should follow FIFO technique for counting the valuation of inventory, but they are actually following LIFO method like their parent company in America uses it. Due to this reason, the discrepancys effect between the implementation of FIFO and LIFO has affected the assessment of the valuation of the inventory that backs up the material misstatement. Therefore, in this particular area of concern, the auditor has the right to issue adverse opinion, because there are mutually compliance issues and material misstatements present. Nevertheless, except the inventory, there is no sign of any other material misstatement in any of the statements of the business organ ization and there are no compliance issues. Due to reason, the auditor can issue Qualified Audit Opinion. Qualified audit opinion is quite similar to Unqualified Audit Opinion; On the other hand, in Qualified Audit Opinion, the auditor has to increase another paragraph highlights the motive for which the statement is not unqualified (Rahimian, Tavakolnia and Karamlou 2014). It is needed for the business organizations to measure the valuation of their net assets counting on things like land, plant, machineries, buildings and others regularly because of the changes in market price. In the case of Victorian Manufacturing Company, it is perceived that they did not measure the valuation of their factory located in Melbourne for last five years as the directors consider that there are no significant changes in the market value of that factory. Hence, the directors are taking a huge risk that might not possibly be right and can produce a major material misstatement. At the time of piloting the operations of audit, the auditors will require the current value of land and buildings and in the absence of this, the auditors would not be able to deliver accurate audit opinion as it confines their process of scrutiny. Due to this, the auditor will have to issue Disclaimer of Opinion, as they will fail to perform an accurate audit report (Kachelmeier, Schmidt and Vale ntine 2016). References Athanasiou, A., 2014. Curtain Call The Hits by Eminem free essay sample

If you are looking for great rap, filled with creative lyrics, sick rhymes, and strong emotion, â€Å"Curtain Call: The Hits† (2005) by Eminem is the way to go. Here is some background information about the genius rapper Eminem. Eminem is from Detroit, Michigan. He had spent most of his teenage and adult years in a trailer park, with very little money. He began going to rap battles that was right in the hardcore underground of Detroit. This album contains some of my all time favorite songs, such as â€Å"Stan† â€Å"Lose Yourself† and â€Å"Like Toy Soldiers.† It includes the best hits in 2 other of his albums, â€Å"The Eminem Show† (2002) and â€Å"Encore† (2004). Eminem has 3 different identities, which he portrays himself in with different names. I think this is because he is schizophrenic, and bipolar. First, Slim Shady. Slim is the funny guy, the guy that loves to share his opinions. He has been through lots, but he is over it by now. We will write a custom essay sample on Curtain Call: The Hits by Eminem or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page He portrays this side in some songs like â€Å"The Real Slim Shady† (obviously), and â€Å"My Name Is.† His second charisma, is what he is most known for, Eminem. He also has been through tough times, but trying to portray all of his feelings and deep secrets through music and purely music. He portrays himself in some songs, such as â€Å"Stan,† and â€Å"Mockingbird.† His final nature, is Marshall Mathers (Eminem’s real name). He has, again, been through lots. He doesn’t really like anyone. He is angry at everyone because he is still expressing himself through his times he has been betrayed, and shot at. When he was younger, Marshall had misunderstanding with his mom that he ran away from. He portrays himself as Marshall Mathers in some songs like â€Å"Cleaning Out My Closet† and â€Å"Guilty Conscience† In my opinion, this album is better than most of his other albums, such as â€Å"Acid Attack† (2000) and â€Å"W.T. F.† (2011). Although this is one of his best, there has been better albums, such as â€Å"The Marshall Mathers LP 2† (2013) and â€Å"The Underground Collection† (1997). This album is one of my all time favorite albums, and I rate it 5/5 stars.

Gangs in Canada free essay sample

Nowadays, gangs have become part of a regular society. Some are small and some are big, but they are spreading everywhere. Recently, gangs In Canada have been becoming a part of a large network working together all sharing the same goal FAST MONEY! Also a youth growing up without a father can be put into a situation where he has to trust or depend on gang members.More than three quarters of Toronto residents say that the city is now a ore dangerous place, than compared to five-six years ago. These growing gangs In Canada, especially in Toronto and Scarborough area, have been getting worse In the last SIX years and have been the cause of much ruling violence In Canada. In 2005, a notorious gang in Toronto called Manlier Crew was raided, sixty-five alleged gang members were arrested as a result. We will write a custom essay sample on Gangs in Canada or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page Torsos police officers made early morning arrest making the largest anti-gang take down in the citys history. These gang members seem to have been heavily Influenced by rap music and mafia flicks mom police officers say, during the raid of the manlier crew, a lot of mafia movies Like Surface, The Godfather, and rap music such as of 50 cent and G;Unit were seized. The influence of these movies can be seen on the streets when you see local gangsters calling themselves Surface inspired by the role AY Pacing played in the 1983 film, Surface. Rappers like 50 cent are also a bad influence on these teenage gang members. The influences of these rappers can also be seen on the streets, when you hear them listening to songs called l do mine the fast way, SSL mask way ND then actually see them doing It for real. The behavior and attitude of these guys are mirrored to those rappers and characters from songs, videos, and movies. Another reason for the rising violence in Toronto and Scarborough areas are the low-income neighborhoods and youths that are living without their fathers.Kids in these low-income neighborhoods are mostly fatherless, living with Just their mothers. Ata young age, these kids require a sense of security which they would normally get from their fathers, but In the absence of their fathers, they get that security by being mean, being tough or being in gangs. An estimated 90 percent are single parent families, majority of them headed by women in these Toronto housing projects. When the mothers are gone to their low-income Jobs, the kids are usually getting raised by their siblings or the T.V. Also, some of these women bring boyfriends at home, who usually turns out to be abusive towards the woman or her kid. Eventually the kid starts to reflect back on what he sees. All these kids In the housing projects end up getting together because they all share the same experiences, the same anger towards society thats stored inside them. When they all get together they form a gang which than makes the city a more violent and dangerous place to live.Recent survey shows that eighty-seven percent of the Toronto residents are living dangerous than five-six years ago. The shootouts on the streets have become more violent and more open. These gang members are doing everything without any fear. One shooting that took place in 2005 boxing day, which most of the people are familiar with the ruthless drive by shooting which resulted in the unfortunate death of an innocent 15 year old girl, her death terrified a lot of people in the city that day. Since that day, transitions have been in fear of their lives and are asking for help. Residents are asking for more strict penalties for gun crimes, because in many other cases, the sentences do not reflect the seriousness of the crime. They believe if the sentences get more strict for gun crimes, then there will be less murders or maybe none. In closing, street gangs have become a present phenomenon in Canadian cities. The root problem of these gangs can be put into so many factors, social, economic, movies and television and a lot more.Knowingly or unknowingly, these gang members have started a revolution there are gangs from all types of backgrounds active today. They commit murders on the open streets now, showing no fear about the law at all. Not only are they stealing, selling drugs and making the streets unsafe to walk, but they are killing innocent sons and daughters that could be yours. These street gangs have caused so much harm and fear they require a great deal of attention and help.

elizabeth Blackwell essays

elizabeth Blackwell essays Elizabeth Blackwells Legacy: Advancements in Medicine and Womens Rights Elizabeth Blackwell has contributed greatly to American society by expanding womens rights through her courage and determination to become the first woman doctor in America. In the mid and late 1800s, there werent many choices for women in the professions. Women mostly became housewives or worked in factories, and they only dreamed of becoming doctors, but Elizabeth Blackwell changed it all. Blackwell was accepted to Geneva College in New York because the medical students there had thought her application was a joke from a rival school. However, she soon gained her peers respect by her competence and hard work. After she graduated, she wanted it to make it possible for others to become doctors as she had. As a result, Elizabeth Blackwell used her writings to support her ideas that women are equal if not superior to men, and that they should be allowed to practice medicine. Blackwell used both religious and historical allusions in one of her books, The Laws of Life with Special Reference to the Physical Education of Girls, to illustrate how women are equal to men. In the Greek Myth, Athena is the goddess of agriculture and wisdom. Blackwell argues: when agriculture and wisdom were of such great importance, why would men name a woman as a symbol of these coveted concepts? Blackwell writes, Her mother was the wisest, her father the most powerful...she was the protectress of sate and of social institutions, and of all that gives t society its highest prosperity...maintained law and justice...she was the protectress of the defences of the state... (Blackwell 10). Men created a woman in the image of all these designations, and they worship her as she is part of a great deity, so then men should treat the women beside them at least as their equals. Elizabeth Blackwell further proves that women are equal to men th...
